Introduction

On behalf of our client, Woodside Energy - a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Fixed Asset Accountant. You will report to the Fixed Asset and Lease Manager in the Financial Control Group. This will a 6 month contract to support with the additional workload, based at their luxurious Perth CBD premises.

What are you going to do

Provide support to the Fixed Assets Team with delivery of Asset Capitalisations
Liaising with Finance Business Partners and Tax to obtain required information for capitalisations
Providing advice to the business on capitalisation requirements and process (Masterdata and Depreciation)
Preparation of workbooks for capitalisation purposes
Processing of asset capitalisations in SAP S/4HANA
SOX Control Compliance and testing
Manage queries from Fixed Asset Team and Finance Business Partners

Essential skills and knowledge

Previous experience in a similar role
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance OR a related field
Working towards a CA / CPA qualification - will be desirable
Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA - will be advantageous
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across departments and with various stakeholders
