Introduction

We’re hiring Environment Engineer for one of our Leading MNC in Oil & Gas to join their growing team. This position is based out in Hazira.

What are you going to do 

Position: Environment Engineer;

Contract: On Contract Role;

  • Will be the single point/primary contact for all Environmental Aspects;
  • Define the overall scope/tasks that will be involved in regard to the environmental component at the initiation of a project and plan the way forward to meet the project requirements;
  • Need to carry out site visits/assessments, preliminary environmental screenings, detailed assessments;
  • Identify environmental related issues in the projects, identify environmental enhancement measures and opportunities;
  • Identify data requirements, collect necessary data;
  • Conduct stakeholder consultations (includes locals/project affected persons, NGOs, regulatory authorities, etc.);
  • Preparation of technical specifications for baseline monitoring and conducting baseline monitoring;
  • Review/analysis of monitoring results;
  • Identification of potential impacts due to the development, suggesting mitigation measures;
  • Formulating Environmental Management Plans/preparation of contract specific EMPs for inclusion in bidding documents;
  • Preparing BOQs for environmental components;
  • Prepare/Review of EIA/EMP Report, and other statutory forms/documents;
  • Identify clearance requirements for the project; preparation of necessary documents/applications for obtaining clearances and carry out the necessary tasks needed for obtaining applicable clearances (Environmental Clearance, CRZ Clearance, Forest Clearance, Tree Felling Permissions, Wildlife Clearance, NOC from ASI, CTE/CFE, etc.).

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Total experience: 5 to 7 Years;
  • Qualification: M.Sc./B.E./M. E/M. Tech Environmental Engineering;
  • Experience in carrying out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for infrastructure development projects, In-depth knowledge of Environmental Regulations/Guidelines (National as well as state level);
  • Experience in obtaining Environmental/CRZ/Forest/Wildlife clearance is also needed;
  • Working knowledge of Social Impact Assessment, Land Acquisition, Forest related rules & regulations.
