Recently, our team had the privilege of participating in two remarkable charity Houston networking events that combined industry engagement with social responsibility, and worked to uphold our values and those of The Brunel Foundation.
Brunel Brings Spirit to Avondale House Charity Bingo Bash
One of the most rewarding experiences this year was our volunteer participation in the annual Avondale House Bingo Bash charity event. The Avondale House is a non-profit organization that provides specialized programs for children and adults with autism. For this event, Brunel’s Houston team chose the theme "Diving Deep into Autism Awareness."
Our team fully embraced the theme by dressing up as sea creatures to symbolize the depths of understanding and care that the autism community needs. This creative and spirited effort led us to win the "Most Spirited Table" award of the night, but more importantly, it gave us a platform to advocate for the condition.
This effort was part of our larger commitment to the Brunel Foundation, which focuses on promoting sustainability, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all. The Foundation supports various causes that align with these values, from autism awareness to workplace inclusion for people with disabilities. The Brunel Foundation’s dedication to social responsibility goes hand in hand with Brunel USA’s industry efforts, ensuring that we contribute meaningfully to both the business and local communities in Houston.
Volunteering with Kids’ Meals Houston: A Lunch-Bagging Event
Another event we were thrilled to be a part of was the volunteer lunch-bagging activity for the Kids' Meals Houston organization. This organization delivers free, healthy meals to preschool-aged children living in food-insecure homes. For many of these children, Kids' Meals Houston is the lifeline that ensures they receive the nutrition they need for healthy development.
Our team gathered to assemble lunch bags, all while strengthening bonds within our community and connecting with other Houston professionals. Events like these showcase how Houston networking events can be more than just business functions—they are an opportunity to come together for a common cause.
While our primary focus is on oil and gas recruitment, we believe that being a good citizen is just as important as being an industry leader.
