Conduct inspections on welding processes and finished welds to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
Review welding procedure specifications (WPS) and ensure they are followed correctly during operations.
Collaborate with welding personnel to address any issues or discrepancies found during inspections.
Maintain detailed records of inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
Assist in the development and implementation of inspection quality plans.
Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to welding inspections.
Essential skills and knowledge
Certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1).
Minimum 10 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably in FPSO or offshore projects.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and relevant codes (e.g., ASME, API).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
