Introduction

What are you going to do 

  • Technical Requirements:Understand and interpret specifications and requirements for marine mechanical packages and equipment, including Essential and Emergency Generators, Non-API pumps, Fire water pumps, Garco pumps, Inert Gas Generator packages, and High/Low Foam Expansion Packages.Ensure that mechanical marine vendor-packaged equipment complies with applicable international codes, such as IMO, SOLAS, and ASME.
  • Engineering Document Preparation:Develop technical specifications, standards, and requisitions independently for marine packaged equipment and systems.
  • Supplier Selection:Evaluate the technical aspects of bids received from suppliers and make assessments, focusing on less complex packages and medium-risk equipment.
  • Supplier Management:Assist in placing and executing orders, review supplier documents such as data sheets and drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.Act as the focal point for liaising and coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Support for Other Disciplines:Provide technical and engineering support during supplier shop visits and for construction and commissioning work at project sites.
  • Technical Issue Resolution:Resolve technical issues independently using expert knowledge during package engineering, fabrication, and post-delivery phases.
  • Compliance:Ensure all business activities and decisions conform to laws and regulations and uphold high ethical standards in line with HSSEQ policies.

Requirements:

  • Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience:Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within the oil and gas sector, preferably with FPSO and offshore applications.Experience working on EPC projects.
  • Technical Proficiency:Familiarity with design standards and international industry codes such as ASME, NFPA, IMO, SOLAS, and Classification Rules.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate skills in AutoCAD.
  • Leadership and Coordination:Strong leadership, planning, and management skills.Ability to influence and effectively coordinate multiple parties.
  • Work Conditions:Primarily office-based, with potential travel to supplier sites, project sites, and construction and commissioning support.
