Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of our Client's Fatality Elimination Plan (FEL). This role is critical in ensuring that the FEL plan is executed on time, within budget, and with the highest standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will be an experienced project manager with the ability to lead through influence, effectively communicate, and engage with stakeholders at all levels, including Vice Presidents and Global Leaders.

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the FEL Plan according to the established timeline and objectives.
  • Report monthly on progress against the Plan, identifying any deviations or challenges.
  • Facilitate the FEL committee to ensure that trade-off decisions and deviations are approved promptly.
  • Actively engage with teams delivering the work to verify progress and quality of delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Lead to ensure that Risk and Controls are accurately updated in the system.
  • Ensure the Potash Fatality Elimination Plan is delivered on time and on budget.
  • Escalate constraints or issues in a timely manner to decision-makers to avoid project delays.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Project Management, particularly in safety-critical environments.
  • Ability to lead through influence and effectively engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present to all levels of stakeholders, including Vice Presidents and Global Leaders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in risk management and control processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate committees and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance requirements in the mining sector.
