Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our global mining clients Project team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensures the Perth and Site Management Teams, along with contractors, are supported to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality projects that meet stakeholder expectations.

What are you going to do 

This role involves overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects, with a focus on upgrades to Port and Mine site Laboratory facilities. Duties include:

  • Designing and constructing new laboratory facilities.
  • Refurbishing, modifying, and upgrading existing facilities.
  • Installing automated laboratory equipment.
  • Managing mechanical systems (dust extraction, HVAC, compressed air, chilled water).
  • Overseeing multi-disciplinary works: Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and HV/LV Electrical.
  • A background in delivering similar infrastructure projects (e.g., NPI facilities, workshops, laboratories) is highly desirable.
  • Provide technical support to ensure project safety, scope, schedule, and budget compliance.
  • Collaborate with multiple contracting companies and project teams.
  • Manage technical aspects during project development stages.
  • Conduct risk assessments, project planning, and team meetings.
  • Oversee commissioning plans, field leadership, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure adherence to Technical Query (TQ), Non-Conformance (NCR), and Inspection/Test Plan (ITP) processes.
  • Facilitate project close-outs, handovers, and compliance with Business Management Systems (BMS).
