Introduction

Our client is a market leader in the mining industry based in Perth, Australia.

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities -

Reporting and Data Management:Generate daily, weekly, and end-of-month (EOM) reports on Ore Processing Facility (OPF) production and metallurgical outputs.

Operational Engagement:Collaborate with OPF plant operators to ensure the correct operation philosophy of process units, aiming to deliver optimum quality and throughput.

Performance Monitoring:
Continuously monitor plant performance and work closely with the Operations and Control Room teams to maximize product throughput while maintaining product specifications.

Process Improvement:
Conduct investigations and analyses on plant performance to identify opportunities for process improvements. Recommend and implement remedial actions as necessary.

Quality Liaison:
Work closely with the Quality team regarding feed blend to Run-of-Mine (ROM) to optimize product throughput and quality.

Laboratory Support:
Provide assistance and guidance to metallurgical technicians to ensure the accuracy of laboratory results and the safe, productive use of laboratory equipment.

Budgeting and Planning:
Support the Process Engineering team in developing budgets and cost forecasts. Collaborate with OPF and Mine Planning teams to contribute to the creation of Mine Plans.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Experience needed -

  • 4-6 years of experience in mineral processing or a related field.
  • Strong background in process engineering within the mining industry.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with plant operators and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in monitoring and optimizing plant performance.
  • Familiarity with laboratory practices and equipment.
  • Experience in budget development and cost forecasting.
  • Candidates will need to have relevant right to work in Australia for this role, sponsorship for this role is not possible.
