Introduction

What are you going to do 

The Planning and Scheduling Engineer (PE) is responsible for managing the project schedule and overseeing the progress measurement system. This includes daily activities related to developing, maintaining, monitoring, controlling, and integrating the overall project schedule, as well as establishing and verifying the progress measurement system. The role requires reviewing contractor schedules for logic, detail, input sources, timing, communication lines, and consistency with the Current Control Estimate, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and Project Plan. The PE defines schedule requirements and deliverable timelines for contractors, ensuring timely identification of trends and deviations from the plan.

Responsibilities

  • Direct oversight of both EPC Contractor and Integration Subcontractor regarding schedule maintenance, updates, and execution.
  • Effectively communicate across multiple disciplines, including contractors, PMT teams, and management, at all levels.
  • Proactively identify execution issues and opportunities, assess impacts to the overall schedule, and provide actionable recommendations for decision-making.
  • Issue executive weekly dashboards for the Project Management Team (PMT), including progress, manpower efficiency, productivity, and skylines.
  • Provide timely analysis of trends, including opportunities, challenges, proposed mitigations, and the status/effectiveness of mitigations.
  • Review contractor weekly/monthly reports for accuracy (progress measurement, resources, etc.) and provide feedback.
  • Support contractors and subcontractors in developing schedule methodologies, benchmarks, and execution plans, and address any quality issues.
  • Demonstrate expertise in execution strategy for topsides module integration, driving improved schedule logic, identifying execution opportunities, and enhancing contractor performance and progress.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
  • 10 - 15 year of relevant experience in project controls with a focus on planning and schedule control.
  • Relevant technical discipline certifications based on work experience.
  • Prior experience with FPSO module integration is mandatory.
  • Prior project experience in Singapore shipyards is highly preferred.
  • Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests.
