Introduction

If you enjoy working with your hands more than sitting behind a desk, we have the opportunity you've been looking for! As an assembler will perform a variety of productions tasks including assembly, working from a Bill of Material, picking material from stock, and testing assemblies. All this work is done according to instructions provided in the form of drawings and QOI's. In this role, you will complete all paperwork assemblies.

We have a current opportunity for a Mechanical and Electrical Assemblers on a contract basis. The position will be based in Oakville. For further information about this position please apply.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical or electrical assembly preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings, Bills of Material (BOM), and quality documentation.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, calibrated instruments, and basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting tools.
  • Understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols, particularly for high-voltage equipment.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and meet production deadlines.
  • Manual dexterity and reasonable vision for handling small components.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and teamwork ability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus.
  • Basic computer literacy for reviewing documentation and inventory systems.

After successfully making through the phone interview, a face to face interview will be scheduled between the candidate and recruiter. This session can be a more in-depth  interview to review your communication and interpersonal skills.
