Material Handler (12-month contract)

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities

Document, file and record receiving and shipping transactions.

Safely Loading and Unloading trucks using counterbalance forklift

Moving materials to and from various shop and yard locations.

Receiving and other materials handling duties as assigned

Maintain accurate files of packing and shipping activity.

Communicate and notify appropriate personnel of inventory discrepancies

Fill kits and deliver as required. Maintain stocking inventory objectives, quantifies and verifies cycle count

Comply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policies

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

A High School diploma is required, post-secondary diploma in manufacturing/assembly would be an asset.

2-4 years of experience in material handling

A valid Ontario forklift certification (counterbalance)

General Computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets etc).

Experience with SAP is an asset.

Able to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Meeting in Real Life

After successfully making through the phone interview, a face to face interview will be scheduled between the candidate and recruiter. This session can be a more in-depth  interview to review your communication and interpersonal skills.
