Introduction

An exciting opportunity has become available with our global design and engineering client for a Lead Civil Designer.

What are you going to do

Lead and manage the civil design process for a variety of sustaining capital projects, including ports, NPI, and haul roads.

Oversee local and offshore teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and high-quality project delivery.

Provide technical guidance on design tasks, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Develop detailed designs using Bentley OpenRoads, MicroStation, and 12D for mining infrastructure.

Drive project outcomes through effective planning, problem-solving, and resource management.

Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure all deliverables meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Review and optimise design workflows and processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.

Essential skills and knowledge

Requirements:

8+ years of civil design experience within the mining industry.

Proven leadership skills, with experience managing diverse, cross-functional teams across local and offshore resources.

Expertise in haul road design, port facilities, and non-process infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads, MicroStation, and 12D software.

Strong knowledge of sustaining capital projects and mining infrastructure standards.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive collaboration across multiple teams.
