Join a leading Montreal-based company in the food industry as a Key Account Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in managing existing relationships and driving future growth within assigned accounts. Reporting to the Retail Business Unit Lead, your focus will be on optimizing account performance and collaborating across departments to implement growth strategies.

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities

  • Customer Relations: Serve as the main contact for procurement teams in managing bids, negotiating new business, and expanding existing accounts.
  • Growth Initiatives: Take charge of identifying new sales opportunities, initiating strategic projects, and collaborating with suppliers and customers to boost revenue.
  • Product Launches: Oversee the end-to-end product launch process, coordinating with various teams to set timelines, define project scope, and manage activities leading up to launch.
  • Performance Analysis: Present monthly performance reviews to senior management, addressing inventory trends, demand and supply balance, contract updates, and recommending strategic actions.
  • Profitability Management: Monitor financial performance, analyze profit and loss data, and collaborate with teams to enhance profitability while maintaining high service standards.
  • Commercial Oversight: Ensure that the strategic business plan is effectively executed by monitoring account health, resolving challenges, and leading cross-functional teams toward shared goals.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or related fields.
  • 3-8 years of experience in account management.
  • Experience in the food industry.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a knack for sales strategy execution.
