Introduction

On behalf of our client, a global Oil & Gas provider, we are looking for an Hydraulic Workover Engineer. This role shall act as a the key liaison between the company and the Client, ensuring seamless communication, technical alignment, and execution of Well Work-related activities.

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Coordination:

  • Act as the primary operational and technical contact between teams and clients.
  • Ensure smooth communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Resolve operational and technical queries promptly, with support from management and relevant teams.

Technical - Operational Oversight:

  • Provide engineering support during Well Work operations, including troubleshooting equipment and operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Monitor performance metrics and propose improvement actions.
  • Manage NCRs and oversee corrective actions to ensure timely resolution.

Project Support:

  • Work with Well Work teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Assist with logistics, ensuring timely transport and movement of equipment.
  • Collaborate with rig superintendents to plan and execute equipment moves.
  • Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of equipment with logistics teams.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Support rig superintendents in planning and executing maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure equipment certifications are up to date and meet regulatory standards.
  • Assist in managing inventory and procurement of critical spares and consumables to prevent operational delays.

Personnel Competency Tracking:

  • Collaborate with training departments to track field crew competencies and certifications.
  • Ensure personnel meet safety and operational proficiency standards.
  • Help develop and implement plans to address skill gaps within the team.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure full compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Australian Full working rights
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Petroleum, or related field preferred)
  • Strong experience in hydraulic workover, well intervention, and well work operations
  • Knowledge of rig systems, equipment maintenance, and operational troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic workover units (HWU) and associated well work equipment.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, compliance, and safety standards
  • Experience coordinating equipment mobilisation, logistics, and certifications
  • Ability to manage stakeholder communication and operational queries
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
