Introduction

On behalf of our client, Woodside Energy - a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Fixed Asset Accountant. You will report to the Fixed Asset and Lease Manager in the Financial Control Group. This will a 6 month contract to support with the additional workload, based at their luxurious Perth CBD premises.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide support to the Fixed Assets Team with delivery of Asset Capitalisations
  • Liaising with Finance Business Partners and Tax to obtain required information for capitalisations
  • Providing advice to the business on capitalisation requirements and process (Masterdata and Depreciation)
  • Preparation of workbooks for capitalisation purposes
  • Processing of asset capitalisations in SAP S/4HANA
  • SOX Control Compliance and testing
  • Manage queries from Fixed Asset Team and Finance Business Partners

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance OR a related field
  • Working towards a CA / CPA qualification - will be desirable
  • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA - will be advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across departments and with various stakeholders
