Introduction

On behalf of our client, Woodside Energy, Brunel is presently recruiting a Drilling Logistics Coordinator for a 12 month contract. There is an opportunity for this role to be Perth based (8 hours per day) OR Offshore (12 hours per day).

What are you going to do 

You will be responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient project logistics services for the flow of materials and personnel to and from campaign locations, on and offshore, delivered by land, air or sea, in accordance with regulatory with the Company and campaign standards supporting a project or campaign supply chain/logistics strategy.

You will lead and monitor the performance of logistics services at a site for assigned scope. Identify logistics risks and solutions for agreement by a Site Leader (eg Well Site Leader, Superintendent or Project Logistics Lead) and be responsible for their implementation. Can be assigned to concurrently plan and support more than one campaign. Competent to perform the role at any site globally (eg Corporate/Regional Office, Supply Base or Onshore/Offshore Site).

An insight into your responsibilities will include:

  • Logistics focal point for an assigned Campaign site or asset (eg MODU, Supply Base, Project Office)
  • Develop, communicate, implement and adapt plans with assigned focal points (internal & external)
  • Lead mobilisation, demobilisation and close-out of logistics readiness for a campaign site prior to RFSU, implementing an approved plan & executing
  • Plan, manage, adapt and report the flow of materials to and from assigned locations, in accordance with approved plans, including visibility, compliance, customs, owned and third-party materials & logistics, dry bulks & liquids, dangerous goods, chemical alert, containers, packaging and waste, by land, sea or air This includes all locations where the logistics strategy requires visibility or handling of materials (eg forward & reverse flow across third party sites, ports, airports, supply bases, in storage, in bonded or free-zones, or in-transit by air, road or sea
  • Plan, set, adapt and report the schedule for assigned support vessels or supply base services to meet a campaign site schedule & campaign logistics plan (port & supply base schedule, berthing, mud plant, bunkering, crew change, maintenance & KPIs)
  • Recommend changes to schedules where a shared fleet operates
  • Plan, adapt and load assigned aircraft to schedule and coordinate personnel movement to meet the campaign operational schedule and campaign logistics plan (airport or heliport flight schedules - includes schedule planning, changes and special flights
  • Recommend changes to schedules (offshore and Senior DLC)
  • Intervene, report non-conformance & recommend improvement for safety, reliability & efficiency. Monitor relevant industry practice and coordinate the Logistics elements of a campaign AAR for a site & close-out assigned actions

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Proficiency in Supply Chain & Logistics Services supporting Drilling, Completion, Subsea, O&G Projects OR other Project end-to-end Supply Chain activities
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite – specifically MS Excel
  • Digital logistics software for materials (SAP and Kabal) and personnel movement (VPoB or Kabal) or equivalent
  • Experienced in a supply base, warehouse or distribution network covering land, sea or air logistics services for clients
  • Relevant experience preferably at a supervisor level or proven leadership experience in another field (eg another industry sector, defence, emergency services, non-government organisations)
  • Diploma level formal qualification in logistics, materials management, distribution and warehousing, supply base, aviation or marine logistics or experience equal to
  • Proven, highly effective planning, supervision and communication skills and experience
  • Required licences and certifications (Dangerous Goods by Land, Air & Sea (IMDG/IATA)
  • Required Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
  • Meet competency standards set out in the Supply/Logistics competency framework for the role (eg Levels: awareness, knowledge, skill, mastery)
