Brunel International is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Underground Fitter for a FIFO position in Papua New Guinea. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our projects in the region.
About this role
As an Underground Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of underground mobile mining equipment and machinery. You will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that all equipment is operating efficiently and safely. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and a strong commitment to workplace safety standards.
Specific experience on the following Equipment would be desirable;
- Loaders - Cat R2900G / Sandvik LH517i
- Trucks - Cat AD45, AD55B, AD60 / Sandvik TH663i
- Ancillary Equipment - Normet Spraymec, Charmec, Agitatiors and scissor lift trucks
- IT Loaders - Cat 938K an 962K IT Loaders
Is this you?
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Equipment Fitter/ Mechanic
- Must have experience working in underground mining operations
- Strong understanding of mining equipment and machinery
- Ability to work in a remote location on a FIFO roster
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
