Introduction

On behalf of Chevron, we are looking for an experienced Senior Drilling Engineer within their Perth based Wells team, to support planning and execution of Drilling operations on their assets in Western Australia.

About this role

  • Promote and implement Chevron's health, safety, and environmental programs
  • Design and execute plans for Deepwater Subsea Gas Wells, from early planning to execution
  • Collaborate with Wells and Asset teams to ensure alignment of plans
  • Lead technical reviews and risk assessments to ensure compliance with Chevron's standards
  • Manage business partner interfaces, including contract management, purchase orders, and post-job reporting
  • Research and implement new technologies to enhance safety and performance
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a learning culture

Is this you?

  • Proven experience in designing and executing deepwater subsea gas wells
  • Expertise in subsea well design using floating MODUs
  • Proficient in Drilling engineering software (Landmark, DrillPlan, Wellview)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at different stages of design maturity
  • Current Australian citizenship or appropriate visa to work in Australia
  • Industry-recognized well control certification and offshore medical & survival certification
