Brunel are proud to partner with a highly reputable, Tier 2 Builder that are looking to grow their capabilities by adding an experienced Project Manager to their team in Brisbane. They're a household name within the Australian Commercial Construction market known for their quality builds and stable nature.

About this role

Responsibilities:

  • Developing project plans, timelines, and schedules while ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
  • Managing budgets, estimating costs, monitoring expenditures, and keeping projects within financial constraints.
  • Allocating resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, and managing subcontractor agreements.
  • Overseeing contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with terms, and managing risks through mitigation strategies and safety protocols.
  • Monitoring quality through inspections, enforcing standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Leading project teams, resolving conflicts, maintaining communication with stakeholders, and providing regular updates.
  • Addressing construction issues, implementing solutions, and ensuring smooth project progress.
  • Managing project closeout, including final inspections, client handover, and documentation of lessons learned.

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or related (Required).
  • Proven experience in succesfully managing Commercial Construction projects working directly for a Main Contractor valued at $10m+ (Required).
  • Experience working for a Main Contractor within the Australian Market (Required).
  • Succesful delivery of Healthcare / Government projects (Preferred).
  • Ability to work autonomosly and lead a team.
