Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the design and construction of substations across the Pilbara.

About this role

As a Project Manager, you will take the lead on the design and construction of high voltage substations, playing a key role in the delivery of projects critical to the operations. You will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring that milestones are met within budget and to the highest standards of safety and quality. Your role will be primarily based in Perth CBD, with regular site visits to the Pilbara.

This is a contract role for 1 Year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle of substation design and construction, from initial planning through to commissioning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Oversee and coordinate site activities, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain strong commercial acumen to manage budgets, contracts, and project finances effectively.
  • Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring all project deliverables are met.
  • Utilize your expertise in High Voltage systems, including Indoor Gas Insulated, Gas Insulated Bus, and Hybrid Switchgear, to drive project success.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will need the following -

  • Proven experience in managing the design and construction of High Voltage substations (220KV+).
  • Strong understanding of Indoor Gas Insulated, Gas Insulated Bus, and Hybrid Switchgear systems.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience managing large-scale budgets and contracts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to sites across the Pilbara.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field.
