Introduction

Brunel is partnering with a tier 1 oil and gas operator, to find a highly skilled Project Lead. This pivotal role will manage and coordinate project and engineering activities for SIB & BF projects, ensuring effective delivery through comprehensive discipline, contract, and package management support. As a key player, you will also perform Project Manager duties within the SIB & BF portfolio, contributing to the success of critical projects.

About this role

In this role, you will collaborate closely with initiative owners to ensure seamless project handovers, setting realistic budgets and schedules to achieve project goals. You will align project prioritization with organizational objectives, working with the Project and Engineering Services Manager and other Project Leads. Engaging with stakeholders, you will define project scopes, methodologies, and justifications, ensuring all perspectives are considered.

  • Manage and oversee all SIB & BF projects, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget, realizing the expected benefits.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases, analyze requirements, and secure necessary funding approvals.
  • Manage project scope, adhere to internal processes, handle change management, and allocate funding effectively.
  • Oversee project resource requirements, QA/QC standards, budget targets, and delivery timeframes.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance for all project activities, mitigating risks for successful project outcomes.
  • Communicate and report key project KPIs to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Provide exceptional management to project managers and engineers, including performance management and development planning.
  • Drive continual improvement within the PES team, enhancing systems, processes, delivery strategies, and team culture.



Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 15 years of experience in Project Management, particularly with a proven track record in the oil and gas industry. Expertise in managing contracts and delivering complex projects is essential, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. You should be skilled in negotiating and managing senior stakeholders both internally and externally, proficient in project planning, monitoring, and evaluation, and have previous experience in multi-discipline people management.
Desirable qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, with a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance being a plus. Professional Certification in Project Management or PM Chartered status (AIPM / PMP or equivalent) is highly desirable.

The role requires compliance with all relevant Occupational, Health, Safety and Environmental, and Injury Management/Workers Compensation legislation, codes of practice, standards, policies, operating procedures, work instructions, and systems.
