Introduction

We are seeking a Project Engineer with SPRY (Safety and Productivity Risk Yield) experience to manage and deliver mining projects on a FIFO 8&6 roster from Brisbane, QLD. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your SPRY expertise to drive safety improvements, manage risks, and enhance productivity across key mining operations.

About this role

  • Project Management: Lead and manage mining projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet safety and operational standards.
  • SPRY Implementation: Utilize SPRY principles to assess, mitigate, and monitor safety and productivity risks across multiple sites.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including operations, safety, and maintenance, to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Compliance: Ensure projects comply with all relevant industry regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing mining projects, particularly those focused on safety, productivity, and risk management.
  • Expertise in SPRY and the application of these principles in a mining context.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and collaborate effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement.
