Introduction

  • Review & validate all Process Engineering documents (drawings / datasheets / philosophies / specifications, etc…) produced by vendors, contractors and consultants to ensure compliance with project specifications and Company standards.
  • Provide Process Engineering inputs and technical support throughout the Project Life Cycle ensuring timely solutions to problems and effective collaboration with stakeholder to provide a flawless project execution.
  • Manage and monitor Contractor Process Engineering progress & ensure process deliverables are developed and issued on time without delay.
  • Project Background: project is part of a large-scale offshore Compression Development Program decided by and its Shareholders.
  • This major project consists of new offshore facilities that comprise of five new riser platforms, one wellhead platform, 110km of CRA pipelines, stalk on risers, subsea composite cables and Fiber Optic lines, in addition to that an extensive brownfield modification on the existing Wellhead and Riser Platforms.
  • The proposed Process specialist is expected to have the following expertise as minimum:
    • Monitor the progress and delivery of Process Engineering works meeting project schedule and milestones.
    • Provides visible safety leadership through active participation in the Venture Group Safety Program.
    • Reviews the detailed design developed by the Contractor and verify compliance with the Contract requirements, LNG standards and procedures and Project Objectives. Understand and communicate the Company requirements to Contractor.

About this role

  • Review & validate all Process Engineering documents (P&IDs, PFDs, Block Flow diagrams, datasheets, Design Basis, Design Philosophies, cause and effect diagram etc.) produced by contractors and vendors to ensure alignment with project specifications and Company standards.
  • Accountable for the review and validation of all the Flow Assurance design such as Steady State Hydraulic Analysis, Transient Study, Dynamic Simulation, and Hydrate Management for all Intra-field Pipelines and Trunklines using OLGA software.
  • Perform all Process Engineering activities and develop deliverables using engineering tools (engineering software) to meet agreed project deliverables, schedule, and costs.
  • Responsible to ensure Contractor deliver a complete Process engineering deliverables during EPC execution.
  • Ensures the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfillment of the project quality requirements and the contractual obligations.
  • Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and Project Management System.
  • Participate in Safety Workshops (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL ENVID etc.), Design review, Gap Analysis, Cold Eye Reviews and Value Improvement Workshops, as required.
  • Assist economic/financial evaluation of all feasibility studies and opportunities to optimize project deliverables.
  • Effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and an ability to induce collaboration, when interfaces with various stakes holders (operations, subsurface, major projects, engineering, and projects) and shareholders.
  • Provide technical assistance and support during the preparation and execution of the Pre-commissioning and commissioning, Start-up activities and Performance Guarantee Test runs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
  • 15+ years’ experience of Process Engineering in a major project environment with a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction, and operations.
  • Good knowledge in offshore platforms and topside process systems design.
  • Possess knowledge in Flow Assurance and hydrate management aspects.
  • Well conversant in international Codes & Standards.
  • Strong technical, prioritization and management skills.
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
  • Well conversant with process software such as HYSYS (Steady State and Dynamic Simulations), OLGA, FLARNET, PIPSIM etc.
  • Exhibits team leadership skills, integrity, interpersonal understanding, and self-confidence.
  • Requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and an ability to induce collaboration, when interfaces with various stakeholders e.g. operation team, subsurface team, asset engineering, and other projects.
