Introduction

Our client, a tier-one mining company, is seeking experienced Electricians to join their team in the Pilbara. This FIFO role from Perth to the Pilbara offers a 2:2 even-time roster on a rolling schedule, with a minimum 6 month contract and strong potential for extension. You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems within an iron ore processing plant, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

About this role

As an Electrician in the processing plant, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing instrumentation and electrical systems. Your duties will include:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems across ore processing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation components used in processing operations
  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures when conducting maintenance and repairs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborate closely with the processing operations team, reporting issues and providing electrical and instrumentation support to minimize downtime
  • Assist in commissioning, calibrating, and testing instrumentation systems, ensuring accuracy and functionality in the plant's control systems
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with both operational and maintenance teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of electrical and instrumentation issues
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, calibrations, and other maintenance activities
  • Actively participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and adhere to safe work practices in a high-risk environment

Is this you?

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current Western Australia Electrical Licence (Unrestricted)
  • Certificate IV in Instrumentation
  • HV Switching certificate
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Current CPR/ LVR certificate
  • Working at Heights (preferred)
  • Valid Drivers Licence (C class)
  • Demonstrated electrical experience working in ore processing facilities
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Ability to produce a National Police Clearance within six months
  • Ability to attend a pre-employment medical
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and zero harm
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
