Data Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Data Engineer to join a global team of technology experts and engineers at the intersection of Data Science, Business Intelligence, and Human Resources. This role plays a key part in shaping strategic workforce decisions, from recruitment and retention to employee wellbeing and engagement
Reporting to the Data Management Lead, you will design and enhance data-driven services, solving business problems and delivering insights through:
Designing, building, deploying, and scaling data pipelines for machine learning and predictive models.
Data modelling and architecting datasets from various enterprise systems.
Engineering complex big data compute tasks.
Developing innovative data service techniques to support analytics models.
Creating platforms and processes to enhance reproducibility and accuracy of results.
ETL reporting from traditional and legacy systems.
You will ideally have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, along with experience in data science projects, preferably within agile methodologies.
5+ years experience with at least one relational database (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle), including administration, data modelling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Experience with containerized technologies like Docker and cloud deployment (AWS or Azure certification desirable).
Data visualization expertise using Power BI, Tableau, or Python libraries.
Software development experience with Python or R.
Understanding of massive parallel architectures (Spark or Hadoop).
Experience with Linux and repeatable build development.
Strong knowledge of ETL and data pipeline automation (EasyMorph, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Google Dataflow, Pentaho, etc.).
