Process Operator
The Process Technician- CCGIP is a front line, field and control room capable operator accountable for the safe, stable and efficient running of processing and foundry circuits across Beneficiation, Agglomeration, DRI Reduction, Smelter (EAF) and Granulation. Reporting to the Processing Supervisor: The role executes approved procedures, conducts routine inspections and sampling, manages start up/shutdowns, coordinates isolations and permits, and responds to upsets to meet daily production, quality, safety and environmental targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor processing and foundry circuits across Beneficiation, Agglomeration, DRI Reduction, Smelter (EAF), and Granulation
Execute approved procedures and Standard Work Instructions to ensure safe, stable, and efficient plant operation
Conduct routine inspections, sampling, and process checks, and continuously monitor equipment for faults
Manage start-ups, shutdowns, and upset conditions, ensuring production, quality, safety, and environmental targets are met
Coordinate isolations, permits, JHAs, and Take Five risk assessments to minimise hazards.
Operate mobile plant and material handling equipment, including FEL, telehandler, forklift, and overhead crane
Support commissioning activities and assist maintenance during shutdowns or unplanned stoppages
Identify safety and process improvement opportunities and contribute to updates of procedures
Maintain accurate shift handovers, daily logs, and reports, ensuring clear communication across teams
Work effectively in a small team environment, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills
