Introduction

Looking for a skilled Civil Estimator to analyze project costs, prepare accurate tenders, and support successful bids for civil construction projects in Darwin. This role requires strong attention to detail, industry knowledge, and the ability to work with engineers and project teams to deliver competitive estimates that drive project success.

About this role

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to assess scope, risks, and cost factors.
  • Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
  • Develop detailed tender submissions and support bid strategies.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to refine estimates and optimize cost efficiency.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing changes to maintain accurate cost databases.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, contracts, and regulations.
  • Review past project costs and performance to improve future estimating accuracy.

Is this you?

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar civil estimating role.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, contracts, and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience sourcing and negotiating pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with project managers and engineers.
  • Knowledge of local regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
