Introduction

  • Leads the North Field Expansion Offshore Engineering scope of work for work in QFAB Yard under the direction of Offshore Engineering Division Manager.
  • Ensures Engineering design across various disciplines is in accordance with Project requirements, identifies and solves Engineering issues and ensure alignment of Engineering between Contractor, PMT and for STP NSS.
  • The role required to provide advice, recommendations and technical support to the QFAB team and associated teams, demonstrating the understanding of the requirements and execution of detailed design.
  • Effectively communicate and translate and NSS requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the contractor in compliance with standards, specifications and instructions.
  • Schedules, integrates effective work planning and is expected to manage change and handle complex problems and issues relating to the role with minimal supervision.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide visible safety leadership through active participation in the Offshore Project Safety Program and assist in ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures whilst ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering Contractor for the delivery of the design in accordance with Company requirements and specifications, providing guidance and input into Contractor strategies / procedures to achieve project objectives.
  • Determine the need for disciplines including structural, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, pipeline, umbilical, HSES and risk.
  • Facilitate the close-out of cross engineering related issues as requested to ensure Project delivery on time.
  • Engage and Supervise Project engineering activities across various disciplines including HSES, QA, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Interface, Information Management, and Risk and close-out as requested to support the Project Management for each Project delivery.
  • Evaluate the reporting and review of progress with Contractors in relation to the close-out of activities on a weekly and monthly basis for presentation to management and ensure project deliverables and activities associated with all packages are achieved in accordance with the project milestone dates.
  • Facilitate the reporting to LNG and NSS on a monthly basis and progress resolution of key actions decided and recorded during the meetings.
  • Lead the relevant engineering interfaces between the Offshore engineering.
  • Identify technical problems and recommend solutions to Management, identify the personnel who can offer guidance on areas outside of technical knowledge and manage implementation of solutions to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Ensure safe delivery of the engineering sections of the work scope and chair meetings if required to collect and disseminate information pertaining to engineering actions.
  • Lead the review and comments for contractor and supplier documentation as required in a timely manner ensuring compliance with Company requirements, standards, and specifications.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor of in Engineering.
  • 10+ yrs experience in construction, installation, and pre-commissioning within the offshore oil and gas industry, ad specifically in relation to Offshore Pipelines & Cables.
  • Able to manage a multi-cultural team committed to meeting project objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.

  • Direct work experience can substitute for any qualification, knowledge, Technical and Business Skills required
