Introduction

On behalf of our client, a specialist in well intervention, equipment rental and engineering services, we're recruiting for a Technical Engineer-Well Services to join their team in Sale on a permanent basis.

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical support for operation and manufacturing personnel throughout company operations.
  • Ensure HWO & Snubbing Operations comply as a minimum to the set standards and provide engineering/technical support to HWO field operations.
  • Provide technical input into project proposals / tender submissions to clients and to support management in any presentations and discussions.
  • Deliver proposals and process's that meet minimum requirements: technical integrity, operational efficiency, quality assurance, and HSE requirements.
  • Produce Equipment Evaluations, ITT Submission, Post Job Reviews and Close-Out Documentation where required.
  • Source and recommend Equipment specification, cost, and availability.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and policies as they apply to projects, and ensure that all technical work adheres to regulation and requirements.
  • Conduct periodic Well Site & Equipment project / maintenance visits as required.
  • Liaise with Well Operations & designated Operations Superintendents to ensure operational, maintenance and project activities are planned and co-ordinated effectively.
  • Prepare and ensure the implementation of Planned Maintenance & Certification Routines for all new and upgraded equipment within relevant Maintenance Management System.
  • Review the efficiency of the Planned Preventative Maintenance System (PPMS) and Critical Function Testing System (CFTs). Make recommendations for improvements to the system.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirments:

  • Degree in Mechanical / Petroleum Engineering
  • Well Work experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Practical knowledge of Manufacturing & Repair Process's - Fabrication, Machining and Maintenance.
  • Practical knowledge of HWO, Well Workover, Recompletion and Well P&A process.
  • Experience with HWO Equipment, Pressure Control Equipment, Diesel Hydraulic Packages, Tubing Tongs, Mud / Fluid Pumps & Fluid Systems.
  • Familiar with Oil Field Tubulars i.e. Drill Pipe, Tubing and Casing.
  • Full Australian working rights
