Introduction

On behalf of Chevron, we are currently recruiting for a Systems Completions Coordinator to join their J-IC Systems Completion/ICSU team on Barrow Island on a 12 month contract. This important role will facilitate the safe completion of works between construction and commissioning and the eventual hand over to operations.

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide input into the project construction & completions schedules.
  • Attend and participate in SIMOPS, Constructability and Cut Over workshops.
  • Attend Site Operations morning pre-start meetings and provide updates on project completions activities.
  • Coordinate with Construction daily work scopes ensuring the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities is aligned.
  • Manage SIMOPS and coordinate commissioning activities with BWI operations team
  • Review work permit submissions and look ahead ensuring permits are being requested and approved to support continuous work and completions activities.
  • Assist with the development of isolation lists and HV/MV Switching programs to support the issue of permits.
  • Coordinate site testing personal and commissioning engineers, ensuring completions works are being carried out as efficiently as possible and in line with the project schedules.
  • Monitor schedules and assist with the mobilization and site coordination of equipment supplier field services reps.
  • Coordinate with Site RPE's required electrical isolations to support construction / completions works.
  • Review and monitor systems lists & systems completions reports ensuring the timely submission of required check sheets, punch item closure etc. are being met to support the turnover / completions schedules.
  • Participate & coordinate with site operations, attendance for inspections, walk downs, punch item closure, PSSR's, MOC management & certificate sign off, ensuring a seamless system completions process is achieved.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Strong Electrical background in the oil & gas construction and operations industry.
  • Previous experience in working within an operating oil & gas facility on brownfield electrical projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and effective application of Systems Completion work processes and deliverables.
  • Experience in construction & commissioning of electrical & mechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge in IEC and Australian Standards for electrical and mechanical design & testing.
  • Experience with pre-commissioning and commissioning planning and execution on at least one Major Capital Project
  • Experienced in Project Management / Site Execution
  • Experienced with co ordinating work groups and liaising with operations personnel.
