Introduction

  • To provide day to day, scheduled and unscheduled periodical, preventive and emergency case maintenance activities of electrical, Instrument, fire alarm and ELV systems installed / operating at various facilities including providing effective supervision in accordance with Contractors and to concerns and ensure adherence with State and Safety Regulations.
  • Manage site personnel of contractors, provide inter discipline support whenever required and liaise/coordinate with various end users/focal points and ensure maximum equipment operational availability.
  • Maintain records of performance and maintenance of the Electrical, Instrumentation and ELV Equipment.

What are you going to do 

  • Receives SAP or CAFM system PM Notifications from Maintenance Planner/Help Desk/Supervisor/Section Head and visit location to determine the work required, liaise with the Occupant or Requester when appropriate, prepares specifications/sketches/estimates and submit for Supervisor’s approval.
  • Supervises/ensures that regular and preventive maintenances of building management systems, fire alarm, generators, elevators, escalators, UPSs, electrical distribution, ELV systems etc. are provided/undertaken by Contractor’s in accordance with their running Contracts.
  • Ensures adherence with contract, procedures, by contractor personnel working on sites and notify immediate supervisor/ section head of any emergency/ safety concern requires action / control.
  • Ensures that safety measures are being strictly adhered to. Where accident occurs, ensures prompt and timely reports are prepared, giving details of accident, action taken to deal with the accident, root cause analysis and proposing remedial measures to prevent recurrence of incident.
  • Maintains weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly records, periodically visits sites to monitor satisfactory progress of work carried out in safe manner and reporting unusual circumstances or condition to Supervisor.
  • Inspects buildings /Installations/Systems taken over from Projects. Submits report / punch list.
  • Liaises where necessary with Safety / Security / Building focal point and process PTW.
  • Co-ordinates/evaluates and attends the maintenance problems reported by Tenants.
  • Conducts inspection of responsible systems to ensure that the system is safe and functioning normally throughout its operation in owned and rented buildings including properties leased to Tenants.
  • Performs related duties as assigned, such as assisting in other areas of the Section when required.
  • Assists superiors in the preparation of scope/corporation estimates/ BOQ for call off/ other contracts, cost estimate, Material Lists/ Standards and Specifications etc. and initiate Completion Certificate.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • 3 year diploma in Engineering/Technology with 5 year relevant experience.
  • Qatar/GCC countries work experience is desirable.
  • Hands on experience in Electrical Installations, Operation and Maintenance of Electrical (primarily) and other Instrumentation/ELV equipment.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD/SAP/MS Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Report writing
  • Good level of English (written and spoken).
  • Authorized electrical certificates
  • Candidate to hold valid Qatar Driving License
