Introduction

On behal of our client, Brunel is currenly seeking a skilled Piping/Layout Engineer with strong FEED and detailed design delivery experience to join a leading energy sector project.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a significant onshore gas processing and carbon capture initiative, playing a key part in advancing sustainable energy solutions.

What are you going to do 

  • Collaborate with the Lead Piping/Layout Engineer to prepare and present technical submissions to Internal Technical Authorities and Operations Engineering.
  • Review stress analysis and piping vibration assessments conducted by FEED/Design Contractors, providing comments and corrections.
  • Manage piping design and plot layout integration for new infrastructure and brownfield works, ensuring operational access, maintainability, and Human Factors Engineering (HFE) compliance.
  • Provide technical input during the execute contract ITT stages, ensuring adherence to relevant specifications and standards.
  • Expedite documentation delivery to meet project schedules and stakeholder requirements.
  • Assess and review piping material specifications as needed.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Australian Full working rights.
  • Extensive experience in piping systems and plot layout design within the Oil and Gas industry, including LNG facilities and brownfield scopes.
  • Knowledge of module fabrication and piping stress management during transportation is a plus.
  • Strong FEED and detailed design delivery experience, with experience in an engineering design office.
  • Familiar with Australian statutory codes and standards for piping systems.
  • Proficient in technical assurance plans and processes for managing design changes or deviations.
