Introduction

  • To provide technical support to the project team with respect to Instrumentation discipline including Metering / Analyzer systems in their engineering activities.
  • Operates in technical environment with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Required to contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in specialized area.

What are you going to do 

  • Plan and prepare work activities during the project phase to ensure a smooth completion of planned activities.
  • Ensure Instrumentation/ Measurement engineering activities are carried out in accordance with company regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that the engineering deliverables are prepared in accordance with the technical specifications to fulfill the project objective in adherence to the technical specifications and any deviations are highlighted and mitigated. Participate / facilitate in Risk assessments and ensure risks are mitigated.
  • Be familiar with all Project Philosophies and Procedures and ensure that these are applied to the specification, design and procurement of Control systems.
  • Resolve engineering issues and are timely communicated with the Project Management Team (PMT).
  • Elevate issues to higher management when necessary. Ensures compliance with LNG systems and processes and maintains support and adoption of all processes. Prepare, plans and work schedules that ensure effective completion of projects.
  • Review site condition and mitigate hazards/risks at site to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including contractual requirements.
  • Ensure system engineering activities during factory acceptance test (FAT), Installation, commissioning, and project close out.
  • Ensure that the Engineering documents are reviewed considering Safety in Operability/Maintainability
  • Provide technical support during installation to ensure safe execution.
  • Support other engineers in complex analyses and assignments and provides expertise to ensure completion of activities within schedule.
  • Mentor the National Developee as per the development plan.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree in Engineering or Science majoring in Engineering in the area of specialization
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the area of specialization within Oil and Gas Environment.
  • Good knowledge in Instrumentation and all Measurement systems, including LNG metering systems.
  • Knowledgeable with the relevant standards
  • Additional knowledge of Analyzer systems including Gas Chromatographs, CEMS, Continuous Analyzers.
  • Computer literate, with advanced knowledge of all relevant engineering software tools, systems and tools.
  • Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
