Brunel is seeking an experienced professional for an exciting opportunity with our oil and gas client as a Records and Legal Operations Analyst.In this role, the successful candidate will support the Records Information Management (RIM) Team by assisting with the development and implementation of best practices in records management. Additionally, they will provide support for applications and software managed by the legal team, including ICERTIS Contract Lifecycle Management and other matter management solutions.

As an extension of the Legal Team, the RIM Team plays a crucial role in achieving business goals while safeguarding the organization's property, brands, and reputation. The team ensures full compliance with regulations and standards at every step of the process. This opportunity is ideal for a professional with a strong background in legal operations and records management who thrives in dynamic, compliance-driven environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Records and Information Management (RIM) Leader to design and implement enterprise-wide transformational change for records management and information governance processes to ensure the corporation's data is compliant with the corporate policies governing data classification, maintenance, storage and disposition
  • Support the cross-functional RIM Governance Committee, working with IT and functional unit records liaisons to advise on RIM requirements for new data types, new systems and new applications, and to report on compliance with RIM policies
  • Support the maintenance and delivery of companywide learning and development programs for records management and contract lifecycle management
  • Assist the legal department with developing, implementing, and using legal department technology solutions such as matter management, e-Discovery, and Contract Lifecycle Management
  • Support the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) team to manage the ICERTIS application requirements such as access and security management, contract template and clause management, design of workflows and integrations across systems
  • Respond to companywide inquiries regarding compliance with RIM policies

Requirements

  • 5-7 years combination of post-secondary education and work experience, with a of minimum 3 years of specific records-related and/or contract management experience and continued professional development
  • Experience in performing work process analysis for records management
  • Experience working IT data management systems and capabilities including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Compliance Center
  • Experience with contracting processes and administering digital contract lifecycle solutions. Working knowledge of the ICERTIS contract intelligence platform would be an asset
  • Certification in one of the following would be an asset: Certified Information Professional (CIP), Certified Records Analyst (CRA)
  • Experience developing, implementing and using legal department technology solutions would be an asset

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills; confident in reporting to and working closely with senior leadership
