Introduction

Brunel is currently seeking a Mining Construction Project Supervisor to join our client to lead a team of professionals in a challenging and exciting project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, while championing health and safety on site.

What are you going to do 

The Mining Construction Project Supervisor will be responsible for managing the construction of a mining project in a FIFO 8:6 roster. Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will act as a liaison between contractor and head office stakeholders, and will be responsible for team based and field/area inspection.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to the team
  • Championing health and safety on site, and ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with the company's policies and procedures
  • Inspection and Test Plan monitoring
  • Regular reporting to the Project Manager and head office stakeholders

The successful candidate will have a background in civils, piping, infrastructure and will have demonstrated experience in managing mining construction projects.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in the mining industry
  • Background in civils, piping, and infrastructure
  • Experience working on FIFO 8:6 rosters
  • Ability to act as a liaison between contractor and head office stakeholders
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Champion for health and safety on site
  • Experience with inspection and test plan monitoring
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • You must have current right to work and be based in Australia to be considered for this role
