Introduction

Project Planner (12-month contract) Hybrid - Oakville, ON

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe work culture.
  • Aid the Project Managers on Complex Projects
  • Drive effective resource utilization and coordinate workload across team. Prioritize and assign work.
  • Act as a connection between the PM team and other internal teams as needed.
  • Assist in the development of preliminary planning(s) at bid phase, to be included in our offers to Customers.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Planning activity, learning from experience, and sharing best practices.
  • Travel to customer sites and Veolia offices as needed for project and team support including but not limited to Veolia team training and customer meetings.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as Planner in Water and/or Industrial Construction projects.
  • Deep knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America, and internationally as required.
  • Precise and meticulous.
  • Team player.
  • Focus on customer relationships.
  • Ability to negotiate.
  • Knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn about equipment and process related to the company's portfolio.
  • Ability to plan multiple priorities and focus on the most important ones.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new problems, clients, and situations.
  • Ability to propose decisions without all the information.
