Introduction

As a Remediation Project Manager in Darwin, you will oversee and manage remediation projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, and drive timely, cost-effective delivery. The role involves risk management, stakeholder engagement, and maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

What are you going to do 

Project Management & Execution

  • Plan, execute, and oversee remediation projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Implement industry best practices to optimize efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and address challenges proactively.
  • Ensure all remediation activities meet local, state, and federal regulations.

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

  • Liaise with government agencies, environmental regulators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct regular meetings to update stakeholders on project status, risks, and solutions.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure projects comply with environmental, safety, and industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent delays or legal issues.
  • Conduct audits and site inspections to maintain quality control and regulatory adherence.
  • Budget & Resource Management
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Optimize resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Forecast costs and financial risks, making data-driven decisions to maintain project profitability.

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance

  • Enforce strict HSE policies and procedures on all project sites.
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed, minimizing environmental impact.
  • Provide training and guidance to teams on safety and compliance measures.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare detailed project reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Present project updates and recommendations to senior management.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 3 years Project Management experience in civil.construction industry
  • Remedial or Concrete/Steel Repair/Blast & Paint & re-strengthinhh project experience desired
  • Senior Project Engineers who are looking for the next progressions step into Project Manager are encouraged to apply
  • Experienced with Problem-Solving & Decision-Making, Budget & Resource Management, Stakeholder Management, Problem-Solving & Decision-Making
  • Strong communication & client facing skills
  • Proficent with MS Office
