Introduction

What are you going to do 

You will be supporting one of the project managers of our department. Together with the PM you will be the coordinator between the involved departments and will be involved in several projects. These projects have focus on integration of Navigation and ADAS Systems to meet upcoming legal requirements.

In this challenging position you will support projects related to the development of the embedded systems within the new DAF Trucks. There will be several new vehicle projects in the start-up fase, which you will be supporting and coordinating in close cooperation with the Project Management team and covering for them if required. The focus will be both technical as process related.

Tasks:

  • Support Project Managers with deliverables for the different projects;
  • Monitor project progress in terms of timing and costs, identify deviations and recommendations adjustments;
  • Track Project KPIs and maintain a dashboard for the PACCAR Electronics organization;
  • Escalate slow moving topics and present plans on high priority items to the management. As Project Lead Engineer you will report to the Engineering Manager within PACCAR Electronics.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree preferably in Automotive or similar and 3+ years of working experience, with ambition for project management and strong affinity with engineering
  • Likes to learn about different cultures and work accordingly
  • Experience with creating and monitoring of project plans (preferably in MS Project)
  • Team player, pro-active, strong analytical skills
  • Experience with monitoring, reporting and presenting project status to management
  • Knowledge of embedded software design processes (according the V-cycle)
  • Pre: Knowledge on Navigation systems
  • Pre: Knowledge on Back Office applications managing APP updates to the vehicle
  • Pre: Project management experience Pragmatic but coordinated approach
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Comfortable to communicate in Dutch and English.
