Introduction

Our client, an organization that specialized in the production and distribution of healthy and delicious plant- based meat alternative products, is looking to hire a Night Sanitation Supervisor.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with potential weekend shifts (Saturday and/or Sunday) as needed. Overtime and statutory holiday work may be required.

Shift start times: Varies between 6 PM and 8 PM depending on business needs. 8 hour shift.

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize nightly cleaning schedules for all production areas.
  • Train, supervise, and support sanitation technicians in cleaning and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMPs.
  • Oversee proper storage, handling, and inventory management of sanitation chemicals and materials.
  • Maintain and ensure proper functioning of sanitation tools and equipment.
  • Verify and document cleaning chemical concentrations to ensure proper dilution.
  • Conduct and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sanitation records.
  • Oversee the disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of production machinery.
  • Perform visual inspections and cleaning verification swabbing, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
  • Manage sanitation work orders and address sanitation-related issues promptly.
  • Assist in partial machine assembly to facilitate production start-up.
  • Monitor and manage Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) levels, including oil replacement.
  • Oversee ice and water supply procedures for production.
  • Supervise garbage removal and compaction of waste materials.
  • Conduct end-of-shift security walkthroughs to ensure facility integrity.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety rules, and quality management system (QMS) protocols.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; additional certifications in sanitation or food safety preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in food processing and/or manufacturing sanitation.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a sanitation or food manufacturing role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, and GMPs.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
