Introduction

  • Lead Project in developing the commissioning philosophies and procedures, ensuring the flawless handover process of project from engineering into construction, transitioning to full mechanical completion ready for operations, by ensuring the facility and all its components are built and installed according to the design, intent and function as agreed in project specifications.
  • This position requires the flexibility and ability to travel to the fabrication and loadout yards and RLIC sites, on and offshore and when required to be based partly at these locations through the project phase through to handover to the asset owners team.
  • Further to support the project team and home office.

What are you going to do 

  • Subject Matter Expert for all System completions for multi project / multi discipline completions and commissioning teams
  • Lead Systems Completion Procedure ensuring any third parties activities are compatible with the objectives of Offshore Project and handover documentation meets Major Projects deliverables
  • Deliver credible reporting structures to ensure all project metrics are compliant with milestone deliverables
  • Monitor and track computerized Completion Management System (CMS) for certification and quality assurance
  • Participate in contract reviews to ensure adequate Systems Completion control and work procedures are established and followed throughout project duration
  • Provide commissioning input for Safety and Operability reviews and confirm implementation of safety procedures
  • Participate at site to ensure safe execution of Systems Completion activities and provide guidance on Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up planning / sequencing, walk down & punch list management and Turnover and Handover of equipment and systems as required with CONTRACTOR and operational teams
  • Develop and implement effective Systems Completion procedures, work packs, tools, commissioning plans to ensure a smooth and safe hand-over to permanent organization
  • Lead functionality into project of the operational readiness procedures, operational readiness requirements
  • Lead clear communication and reporting lines for all matters pertaining to Systems Completion for Offshore Project and ensure compliance with Project Management requirements

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelors Degree in an Engineering Discipline.
  • 08 years’ commissioning and/or systems completion experience in the oil and gas industry with exposure in managing SC database and multi-party coordination to ensure meeting project SC deliverables
  • Strong analytical, organizing and planning skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact at all levels
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experience of multicultural project teams in remote locations such as offshore
  • Proficient in developing reports from all office tools
  • Computer literate in project management systems adapted to oil & gas industry (Win PCS / PIMS / ICAPS)
  • Undertakes complex tasks and acts as a source of guidance for staff and internal customers. Is expected to handle all but the most complex problems and difficulties that might arise
  • Takes initiatives, based on experienced gained, to deliver timely and cost-effective service
  • Sets situations/issues in the context of the entire team and has an appreciation of the wider relationships with other people and organizations
  • Works independently within established procedures, plans and budgets and contributes to the development of these
  • Has autonomy over scheduling and planning of own work; organizes efforts of work group to achieve overall efficiency.
