Introduction

As Lead of equipment operators, this position takes control of equipment and takes charge of construction operations support. Make sure all the Operators handle and properly move objects, monitor processes, and inspect materials, structures, and equipment. Also, may serve as mentors for the new production employees concerning occupational health and safety.

What are you going to do 

Operational Supervision:

  • Direct and supervise daily activities of equipment operators to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Take control of heavy construction equipment operations, overseeing its proper use and maintenance.
  • Ensure that equipment operators are moving and handling objects correctly and in a safe manner, following company protocols and safety guidelines.

Process Monitoring & Quality Control:

  • Monitor processes involved in equipment handling and construction support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Regularly inspect materials, structures, and equipment for safety, functionality, and quality compliance.
  • Ensure timely reporting and resolution of any issues related to equipment malfunctions or operational inefficiencies.

Safety Leadership:

  • Ensure all operational activities comply with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and hazard assessments to identify risks and implement preventive measures.
  • Serve as a mentor to new employees, providing training and guidance on the proper use of equipment and safety protocols.

Training & Mentorship:

  • Assist in the onboarding and development of new production employees by providing mentorship and hands-on guidance.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, encouraging operators to adopt safe working practices.
  • Develop training plans and conduct safety briefings to ensure all team members are well-informed about equipment handling and safety procedures.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the management team to coordinate construction support operations and report on equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and safety concerns.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with equipment operators to address any concerns, provide feedback, and resolve issues as they arise.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an equipment operator, with a proven track record in a mining or similar heavy machinery environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of various types of mining equipment and their operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in challenging and remote environments.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
  • Valid certifications and licenses related to equipment operation.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia (both written and spoken); English skills are a plus.
