Introduction

  • Supervise the Integrated Control and Safety Systems design, engineering support as assigned.
  • Lead the functional engineering and design support to Offshore team.
  • Responsible for leading the Engineering contractors delivery of the Integrated Control and Safety Systems, control and design in accordance with Company requirements and specifications.
  • Provide advice to the Project Management Team with respect safety, technical integrity and operability of the Topside facilities Integrated Control and Safety Systems.
  • Provide interface technical information between offshore and onshore related to the ICSS.
  • Supervise all ICSS activities of the topside and pipeline scope, to ensure the technical objectives are safely met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.

What are you going to do 

  • Ensure that the Contractor’s Integrated Control Safety Systems for Topsides and Pipelines, Offshore Facilities engineering designs comply with the Contract requirements including codes and standards. Provide guidance to the contractor to promote compliance for engineering.
  • To review and comment and where applicable approve technical documents on Topsides and Pipelines Integrated Control Safety Systems comply with the Contract requirements including codes and standards.
  • Support the Engineering interface between the Integrated Control Safety Systems for Topsides and Pipeline and the following teams: Operations, Drilling, Well Management, the Jacket, the pipelines from the topsides perspective, the Onshore Project Team.
  • Advise design and commissioning risk and propose mitigations.
  • Participate as directed in key design workshops and ensure that Integrated Control Safety Systems, control, Functional Safety design recommendation are correctly implemented and actions closed.
  • Lead Offshore team in monitoring the contractor’s progress on delivery of the required documents and FATs of the Integrated Control Safety Systems of Topsides and Pipeline disciplines.
  • Coordinate respective Offshore Package Managers in delivery of the Engineering and Integrated Control Safety Systems design of the Topsides and Pipelines.
  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts with respect the disciplines involved in delivery of the Integrated Control Safety Systems related to Topsides and Pipelines Engineering and ensure endorsement of Process Technical deviations to Company specifications when required.
  • Ensure compliance with management of change procedures for changes in the contractors design or deviations from the company directives.
  • Promotes inter-departmental communications and encourages teamwork.
  • Establishes clear communication with the Contractor and support discussions with EPCI Contractor on Integrated Control Safety Systems and participate in technical meetings as appropriate.
  • Lead the support to the Engineering teams in presentations and preparation of reports with regards to Instrumentation & Control system discipline and Cybersecurity discipline.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent, however any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience.
  • Min 7+ years of total experiences with at least 5 years demonstrated as ICSS specialist/lead experience in major capital projects.
  • Experiences for handling interface work and SIMOPS with internal organization and other contractors.
  • Experience in the area of design and delivery of offshore Oil and Gas Production Integrated Control and Safety Systems Topsides and Pipeline facilities involving high pressure piping wellheads, Mechanical and Electrical Equipment.
  • Requires previous experience in ICSS CFT.
  • Senior level technical expertise in Instrumentation, Controls, Telecom and Cybersecurity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications
  • Good knowledge of electrical, instrument, telecom, piping and mechanical equipment
