Introduction

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Superintendent with a minimum of 20 years of experience in the mining and construction sectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale, heavy electrical installations within both Contractor and Owners' teams.

What are you going to do

Oversee and coordinate all on-site electrical activities across the project life-cycle to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Collaborate with the Construction Manager to develop and manage construction schedules, resources, and budgets related to electrical works.
Supervise and manage contractors, ensuring compliance with project standards and statutory requirements.
Perform the role of an Appointed Person (Schedule 26), ensuring adherence to safety protocols and electrical regulations.
Oversee HV Switching operations and ensure all electrical isolation procedures are conducted safely and efficiently.
Monitor work progress, conduct inspections, and ensure high-quality standards across installations and commissioning.
Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Promote continuous improvement and innovation, aligning with the project's decolonisation goals.
Manage documentation, including work packs, technical reports, progress updates, and compliance records.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to site teams and junior staff.

Essential skills and knowledge

20+ years of experience in the mining and construction sectors, with significant involvement in heavy electrical installations.
Proven experience managing projects within both Contractor and Owner's teams.
Familiarity and experience as an Appointed Person (Schedule 26) is essential.
WA Electrical License and HV Switching qualifications (preferred).
Strong understanding of mining operations, construction methodologies, and electrical safety standards.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse site teams effectively.
Experience working on decolonisation initiatives or sustainability-focused projects is a plus.
A hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical and operational issues.
