Introduction

We're seeking a Cost Schedule Controls Engineer III to work with a major LNG company on a 1-year contract basis with the possibility of extension.

What are you going to do

The Cost/Schedule/Controls Engineer will be responsible for performing or coordinating efforts related to cost estimate preparation, ensuring oversight and quality assurance for Company-operated and Other Builder Operator (OBO) estimates at all Gate and Funding milestones.
Preparing and reviewing estimates for all project stages, including Check Estimates and Schedules to compare with OBO-prepared submittals.
Participating in estimate and schedule assessments to verify project cost and schedule bases.
Contributing to process efficiency tools within the Estimating Group and assisting in quality assurance review process improvements.
Maintain change control, cost reports, and related documentation.
Collaborate with project estimators, planners, schedulers, and the client's accounting staff.
Coordinate and compile monthly progress reports.
Work closely with the client's project manager and team leads for regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements.

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on cost estimation and project controls.
Advanced proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning, and Project Controls.
Strong analytical, computing, and project management skills. Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to broker solutions between internal coordination parties.
Strong influencing, consulting, and mentoring capabilities.
Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and manage cross-functional activities.
Adaptability to changing priorities and environments.
