Job Description: CSU - Liquefaction Specialist

Location: Point Celeste, Louisiana

Contract Type: Multi-year, W2 with benefits and 401(k) match

Our client, a leader in the LNG industry, is seeking a CSU - Liquefaction Specialist to oversee and ensure the successful completion of commissioning and start-up (CSU) activities for their operations in Point Celeste, Louisiana. This role involves critical oversight of modular construction, packaged equipment, site installation, utilities, interconnecting works, and commissioning activities leading up to Ready for Start-Up (RFSU).

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial gas processing plant construction and a proven track record in managing completions activities, including addressing constructability challenges and supplier delays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ITR Management: Review Inspection Test Records (ITRs) schedules and skylines, ensuring all completions ITRs are signed, verified, and on track with project timelines.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide daily, weekly, and monthly progress updates, emphasizing schedule impacts from delays or challenges.
  • Walk-Down Coordination: Lead walk-down activities at both site and fabrication yards, ensuring cross-team collaboration with operations, construction, and EPC system owners.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other specialists to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Schedule Oversight: Identify and address work delays, emergencies, or issues impacting schedules.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety codes, legal requirements, and other regulations, while actively participating in site HSE activities.
  • Workforce Management: Review manpower employed by EPC and subcontractors to ensure adequacy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Documentation and Sign-Off: Review and sign necessary certificates as per inspection and completion plans.

Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, Piping Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent work experience in a construction supervisory role.

Mobility:

Willingness to reside at modular fabrication yards during construction and travel 25% as required.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Experience:

  • 15+ years in industrial construction, specifically in gas processing plants.
  • Proven experience as a client-side field representative.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-discipline drawings and P&ID interpretation.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Technical and analytical capabilities to manage complex projects.

Certifications:

Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) preferred.
