Introduction

We’re hiring BIM - Autocad Plant 3D for one of our Leading MNC in Infrastructure to join their growing team. This position is based out in Bangalore/Chennai/Pune.

What are you going to do 

Position: Building Information Modeler - Autocad Plant 3D

Contract: Permanent Role.

The AutoCAD Plant 3D Mechanical / Process BIM Modeler is expected to perform variety of design/3D modelling/drafting activities including, but not limited to preparing and updating 2D plans and sections, 3D equipment modelling, pipeline modelling and layout, orthographic generation, isometric extraction including support detailing, bill of material take off, etc.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Should be proficient using AutoCAD Plant 3D in following areas:
    • Ability to read and understand P&IDs
    • Mapping P& IDs to Plant 3D piping modelling
    • Equipment modelling, Piping Support modelling/codes etc.
    • Pipeline modelling and layout
    • Isometric extraction (for fabrication)
    • Orthographic generation
    • Knowledge of specification and catalogue editing/new development
    • Bill of material take off
    • Must be able to perform Clash Detection using Navisworks or BIM 360
    • Knowledge of Water/Wastewater treatment process and function of units
    • Knowledge of Navisworks Manage clash detection
    • Knowledge of vessel / valve data sheet
    • Knowledge of standard pressure vessels, pumps and blowers
    • Knowledge of various types of valves and Instruments
    • Knowledge of various pipe material specifications and standards
    • Knowledge of Civil 3D and REVIT MEP will be advantageous
    • Integrating with other BIM software such as Civil 3D, Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage and Auto Plant 3D
    • Co-ordinating with other disciplines like Civil, Instrumentation, Structural, Electrical, etc. both in India and abroad
    • Proficiency and understanding of civil, Mechanical & Point Cloud drawings
  • Implement innovative approach to reduce drawing production cost and hours
  • Efficient use/plugins for integrating other applications (Bentley Auto Plant 3D, Revit MEP etc.) to generate drawings based on specific project requirement
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Attending client coordination and review meetings, preparing and presenting project
  • status updates and supporting Project Lead/Team Lead in engineering related tasks
  • Implement safety and quality aspects into design
  • Travel abroad or to other offices in India for projects and assignments etc.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
  • Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D Certified Professional
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in P3D is essential
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Experience with International projects will be an added advantage
