Reusable bag 'goes global' photo contest

Plastic Free July® is all about making small changes and choosing to refuse the single plastics we use every day. An easy place to start? Using a reusable bag instead of a plastic one. Depending on the type of material, it takes up to 500 years for plastic bags to disintegrate, while we normally use them for as little as 15 minutes per piece. They end up in seas and water streams, harming living organisms and getting into the food chain. As part of Plastic Free July®, the Brunel Foundation invites you to take up this challenge with us!
With the holiday season on its way, we invite you to bring along any reusable bag to your holiday destination and send us a creative, funny, inspiring, out-of-the-box picture of your bag ‘in action’. Anything is possible as long as taking the picture does not present danger to you or others involved.
If you don't go on holiday, don't worry: a ‘staycation’ picture can compete as well. It's your creativity that counts! The three winning pictures will be rewarded with a Brunel Foundation sustainable gift pack.
The Brunel Foundation will use your email address for this photo contest purpose only. We will store your personal data till January 1, 2023. The photographs can be used internally and externally e.g. for social media posts, on the Brunel Foundation website. By sending in a photo, you agree to these terms and conditions. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us an email.
We look forward to your entry!
You can start out small, or really challenge yourself (and others)! You can take up the challenge via the Plastic Free July® website or do it on your own. The only thing that matters is that you are willing to make a change and get started. Need inspiration? Get inspired on www.plasticfreejuly.org.
