Introduction

As a Senior Resource Geologist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the field of geology to support our projects in the mining and resources sector. You will be joining a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to providing high-quality services to our client.

Essential skills and knowledge

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

Recognised tertiary qualifications in Geology
Membership of AIG or AusIMM (FAusIMM or CP)
Minimum of 10 years of experience in geology, with at least 5 years in a senior role
Significant geology experience including production roles in underground and or open cut operations
Expertise in the use of geological resource models and modelling processes and a sound knowledge of geo-statistics and the reconciliation process
Experience in preparing mineral reserve statements and annual resource reports
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level understanding of all relevant legislation affecting the employment and safety of persons in the mining industry in PNG
