What are you going to do 

  • Close collaboration with the engineering contractors in Spain
  • Review of technical documents and drawings, including construction plans, specifications, descriptions, site plans, fire protection concepts, and static calculations for formal correctness.
  • Translation, adaptation, and integration of German regulatory requirements into Spanish engineering processes; fostering an understanding of German procedures and regulations.
  • Analysis, assessment, and documentation of issues and errors, along with defining and implementing lessons learned to improve quality.
  • Daily communication with the contractor's engineering team; organizing and participating in meetings.
  • Creation of presentations, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and writing emails.
  • Regular reporting to the Permitting Manager.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ideally, 2-5 years of professional experience (graduates are also welcome).
  • Experience in power plant construction, oil & gas, LNG, or similar industries is advantageous.
  • Dynamic, proactive, and communicative personality with strong teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented and conscientious working style with a focus on precision.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish and a good Level in German
  • Flexibility to work initially 3 days on-site in Madrid an 2 in Hamburg until the end of the year, later once a month in Madrid
