Introduction

The Commissioning Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete planning, execution, and successful handover of the Expansion Project. This critical role provides strategic leadership, commissioning management, and technical expertise to ensure that the project is delivered within the specified scope, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and management of the commissioning phase, including the evaluation of facilities, systems, and assemblies to meet project objectives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive commissioning plans, allocating manpower and resources for the successful pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities are documented in the completions system, coordinating with Document Controls to finalize turnover package documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with Indonesian environmental, occupational health, safety, and mine regulations, as well as company-specific safety management systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in environmental, safety, and performance metrics throughout the commissioning phase.
  • Manage the project budget and cost control, regularly reporting on financial forecasts and identifying potential cost efficiencies.
  • Foster a learning culture by mentoring teams, encouraging skills development, and ensuring continuous improvement practices are implemented.

Essential skills and knowledgeย

  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the commissioning process within the mill or oil & gas industries.
  • Prior experience working in Indonesia and current residency in the region will be highly advantageous.
  • Strong background in commissioning management, with experience in large-scale industrial or mining projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as international best practices.
  • Proven leadership abilities to manage multi-disciplinary teams and drive performance improvements.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage project stakeholders and ensure seamless project execution.
